Our Approach
Where You Are…
We know that everyone comes into counseling at different places of health, faith, and healing. We will meet you where you are and help you grow and heal toward your preferred level of mental, emotional and spiritual health. You don’t have to consider yourself "mature” in your faith for Biblical Counseling to be of significant impact.
The Whole Person…
The Bible teaches that followers of Jesus are to experience a faith that includes Mind, Body, Spirit, and Soul. We believe that a holistic approach to counseling and care is the most effective. Your health and healing can be experienced in every area of your life. The Gospel-Centered nature of our work will help you experience wellness as a whole.
Theology, Psychology, Neurology, and Ecclesiology…
Our services are centered on Theology (the study of God revealed through the Gospel story of Jesus proclaimed in the Bible), the understanding of Psychology and clinical research, biological implications from Neurolinguistic Programming, and Ecclesiology (the role of the local church in the health and healing of our clients). Most clients don’t realize where one of these areas ends and others begin. They are woven together which makes the Capella Approach truly unique.
Your identity, values, and destiny…
We understand that each and every one of us is unique in our identities and spiritual purposes. We strive to help you process in the most effective way possible to embrace your identity and to live your life consistent with your values and you discover your God-given destiny.
Equip, Empower, Encourage…
There is a mental health crisis in our world that is creating a new kind of oppression and confusion. Our goal is for our clients to take ownership of their healing journey to find their way into sustainable wellness. Our approach is to equip our clients with tools for awareness and transformation, for them to be empowered in the daily experience of those tools, and to find consistent encouragement to help them stay healthy.

“At the heart of biblical counseling is not a set of skills, but a person: JESUS CHRIST.”
